Usk main street comprises basically of a single road running through the town. It is home to some major banks, a post office and many other little shops and unique enterprises.

A beautiful part of the country. The River Usk is tranquil and there
are many quiet spots to be found. Footpaths run along the side the
river for miles. Dogs welcome.

Usk is a small market town situated on the river Usk

Usk has become well know for its magnificent floral displays, which have made the town a regular winner of the the Britain in Bloom and Wales in Bloom competitions. During the summer the town is a colurful sight with pots, planters and window boxes full of flowers!

Since 1933 Usk Castle has been privately owned by the Humphrey family who are gradually restoring it. The castle is steeped in history such as the births of King Edward IV and King Richard III. Recently, the Humphrey family have been hosting 'Summer Panto Romps' in the beautiful gardens. These are great fun and professionally staged - a fantastic family afternoon/evening out!
